Shown Here:Provides that whenever any person, who is employed by or otherwise associated with any newspaper, periodical, press association, newspaper syndicate, wire service, or radio or television station, or who is independently engaged in gathering information intended for publication or broadcast, is ordered to testify or provide other information in a proceeding before or ancillary to a court, grand jury, or agency of the United States or by either House of Congress, any committee or subcommittee of either House, or any joint committee of the two Houses, such person shall not be required to disclose any such information or the sources of any such information coming into his possession in the course of gathering or obtaining news for publication, or to be published, in a newspaper, periodical, magazine, or for broadcast by a radio or television transmission station or network.
