Makes it a Federal crime to kill or assault a fireman or law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of his duties when the offender travels in interstate commerce or uses any facility of interstate commerce for such purposes.

Provides a sentence of up to life imprisonment for killing a fireman or law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of his duties. Provides a sentence of up to 10 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $10,000, or both, for felonious assault on a fireman or law enforcement officer and for conspiracy to kill or feloniously assault a fireman or law enforcement officer. (Adds 18 U.S.C. 1116)
