Shown Here:States that nothing contained or prescribed in the Housing Act of 1949 or any other Federal Law shall prevent a locality from having and continuing in effect a building, plumbing, electrical, fire prevention, or related code emboding standards which, in terms of protecting the public health and safety, are determined by the National Bureau of Standards to be as high as or higher than the corresponding minimum code standards specified by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development as required to be met in order for such locality to qualify for assistance or certification under the Act or any other provision of Federal law.
