Authorizes the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare to require a hospital as a condition to participation in Federal programs to meet accreditation standards established by him if those standards applied to the hospital by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals do not assure the delivery of safe, effective, and economical health care in the hospital.
