Constitutional Amendment - Provides that, notwithstanding section I of article III of the U.S. Constitution, unless the Senate consents to the continuance in office of a Justice of the Supreme Court, such Justice may not hold office for more than ten years after: (1) he took office, (2) the Senate last consented to his continuance in office, or (3) the ratification of this Article, whichever last occurs.

Excludes Justices who have retired from active judicial service from the provisions of this Amendment.
